About

This is my personal blog. I am a designer, engineer, founder, leader, and open source advocate. I love building tools and automation.

For the last eight years I have been building One More Game, a remote game studio in Seattle. Before that I worked in infrastructure, on Chef and Berkshelf and the tools around them, during the years when the way software got operated changed underneath everyone.

AI is going to change the world. That is not me saying it is good or bad. It is just a fact.

I write here about what building a studio actually taught me, about the industry, and about machines building machines. I think what is happening now rhymes with the DevOps movement more than most people writing about it realize, and I was there for that one.

One more thing, and it is the reason a lot of these posts exist: I want to delete the word “non-technical.” It describes nobody accurately and it excludes people who are already doing the work.
